Discover Your History has, since our September 2013 issue, been bringing you stories on all manner of topics relating to family and social history. Now we are an online magazine, we will potentially reach a much wider audience all over the world, so if you are a regular reader or reading this for the first time, welcome aboard.
The principal aim of the magazine is, as it has always been, to connect people with their history – both on a family and local level as well as in the wider social context. By bringing you topical news and stories, we also aim to encourage greater involvement in all the resources that are available nowadays that help us learn about our past, from museums and heritage properties, special events and commemorations, to online research facilities for family historians and the latest history related book and media releases.
If you have a story about history to tell – perhaps as a professional historian or feature writer, through your involvement with a heritage organization, or as a reader with an interesting tale you have uncovered, please get in touch with me.
I'll also be pleased to receive your letters and emails concerning anything you read in the magazine or about your interest in history.
We have plenty of fascinating stories lined up for forthcoming issues and we’ll look forward to sharing them with you.

One of the biggest elements of Discover Your History is connecting people with history and heritage through our website and online magazine. If something you see in any of our articles is relevant to you and your ancestry, or even if it inspires you to write, I would love to hear about it. I’m always on the lookout for interesting stories to go into our Times & Lives section, and I welcome any queries you have regarding your family history, as I endeavor to solve your questions with the help of our AGRA experts. I'll also be bringing you up to date with the latest history related book and media releases with monthly reviews.
Please do get in touch as I always look forward to hearing what our readers have to say!
